The digital iPhone 8 models can only be seen from the front, after all, it is about the presentations of apps. In addition, Apple itself seems not yet quite sure how the device should look from behind. Petriv wanted above all to know how the camera indentation and virtual home button affect the visual impression. The approach: Left and right of the front cameras, the hypothetical smartphone shows the connection strength as well as the remaining battery charge - in fact it is a partial transparent info bar. Apps are therefore displayed in a full rectangle.
Context sensitive home button bar
The virtual home button is like its haptic counterpart to be found at the bottom of the screen. Depending on the app, a context-sensitive bar with customized shortcuts is also shown. For example, Petriv imagines that the App Store includes the categories "News", "Games", "Apps", "Updates" and a search. With Spotify, the iPhone 8 would instead choose "Home", "Browse", "Search", "Radio" and "My Library".
Although the illustrated already makes a considerable impression, Petriv has already received constructive criticism from a Twitter user: the time display is under the camera indentation, which only unnecessarily space wasted. As Apple will take advantage of the space on the screen, we are expecting a special keynote to unveil the hardware in September.
