The Infinity Display is apparently no longer reserved for Samsung's premium smartphones. According to insider information, there are signs that the screen should also enter the middle class, reports SamMobile .
Supposedly, the next generation of the Galaxy-A series will also receive an Infinity display, as a Chinese Leaker on Twitter announces. Samsung would then buy the attractive screen for the first time a mid-range model. Until now, the screen was only left to various top models: After the debut in the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the manufacturer revealed that the Galaxy Note 8 will also be equipped with it.
The term "Infinity Display" refers to Samsung's edgeless edge-to-edge screen, which bends around the edges of the smartphone, so the edges of the edges are barely recognizable. As a result, the image area is likely to have a larger effect. It is probably, however, that the Homebutton from the current Galaxy-A models then deviates from a virtual button. The fingerprint sensor could be like the Galaxy S8 on the back of the case.
In July 2017, supposed benchmarks had already been popped up , which should give hints for the technical specifications of the upcoming Galaxy A7 (2018). The smartphone is equipped with a full-HD display, two 16-megapixel cameras and an Octacore processor whose cores are clocked at 2.1 GHz. The working memory of the device covered by the benchmark is 4 GB. The 2017 model of the A7 is not published here, only the A5 and the A3 made it to Germany . When the successors will appear is still unknown. If these were actually an Infinity display, it could possibly have a 16: 9 aspect ratio.
