US cruise ship passenger in Malaysia who tested positive for Covid-19 clear of virus

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the American woman who was a passenger on the Westerdam was subsequently tested and the results showed no significant pneumonia virus (COVID-19). The 83-year-old was treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital. “Her test came out negative.”

Wan Azizah confirmed this by the Malaysian newspaper The Star. However, he remained at the hospital before being allowed to leave. The Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia announced the news following the meeting of the High Commission on COVID-19.

The American passenger and her husband left Cambodia last week. In Malaysia, she was also declared infected with the virus and her husband did not. Before leaving Cambodia, they were tested by the Cambodian Health Authority and did not find any corona viruses. In Malaysia, the US woman has been tested twice and had both positive results before presenting negative results.
